故事大纲：
对28岁的薇（杨雅慧饰）来说，人生是一场永不停歇的内心挣扎，她试图当一个前途无量的医师，同时也必须试着当一个孝顺的好女儿。就像她每星期去看她的华人家庭搭的捷运七号线一样，薇永远都在这两个不同的世界来来去去。虽然她生长在纽约皇后区法拉盛的华人社会，但是她的性取向却让她和这个社会逐渐疏远，她也被迫戴着面具，和她失去丈夫的中国传统母亲（陈冲饰）玩一场猜谜游戏。这场游戏虽然让薇的内心痛苦，但是同时却也很好笑，因为她必须接受她母亲的安排，每星期五在中国城的聚会上，和一名单身的华裔美国人相亲。但是当她母亲的面具出现裂痕，这整件事就变成一场闹剧。
有一天晚上薇回家时，赫然发现她母亲坐在她家门口等她，母亲竟然和女儿说她怀孕了。这在传统的华人社会当然是一件很没有面子的事，于是她被父亲赶出家门，被迫去投靠女儿薇，但是这也让薇难以维持她和一名美丽的舞者薇薇安（陈凌饰）之间刚刚萌芽的同性恋关系。被搞得手忙脚乱的薇，试图尽一切可能维持假象，不让传统的华人社会和她的私人生活迎头撞上，於是她被迫要急着替她母亲找一个老公，也不得不冷落她的女友，并且必须在失去她深爱的女友，以及保住中国人重视的面子之间做出天人交战的选择……
