李小龙引领了功夫界潮流，他把功夫带到了电影中，让中国武术走向世界，但他离逝的也略早，他一走，中国功夫界正好到了空巢期，而当时唯一能算得上功夫片的就是成龙的搞笑功夫，虽然功夫也许说不上一流，但很显然他很会把幽默与富有内涵的故事结合在一起，加上打不死的小强一样的拼命三郎功夫，造就了成龙的牌子响当当。
李连杰比成龙小10岁，成龙在业界里名头响亮时李连杰还在武校训练，后来自己放弃了国家运动员以及连续5年全能冠军，也去拍电影，从此开始功夫界多了一位翘楚，李连杰和成龙一个内地一个香港就像南慕容北乔峰一样，但除了他俩外虽然也有不少功夫明星，可很显然他们并没有这两位的名头那么响亮，很大的原因是他们没有自己的特色。
他们长的也都不赖，但也许没有李连杰那么好的运气，遇到鬼马导演徐克，当然 这绝对跟自己的努力是成正比的，也跟头脑是成正比的，李连杰虽然性格偏内向，但从小就开始代表中国13个亿去外国各处表演功夫，头脑和心胸早就不能跟国内成长的普通人相比，脑子也灵活，知道自己应该拍什么样的电影才会有变化，打出自己的品牌，这点他跟成龙比较像，一个外在的幽默，一个内在的冷幽默，他在动作的标准度上要更深一些，也将国内远古宗师们演了个遍，沾了古人的光，提到个名人就是李连杰 没错了。
当成龙李连杰都老到打不动了，得靠其他类型的戏寻求或故意或不经意间的转型，空巢期又明显的显现出来了，不是小的们不努力，有时真的是运气问题，当然现在也不能跟以前相比，以前拍戏是多纯粹的年代（你懂得）……有时相貌没有主角相，有时（也许是大多数）剧本不给力，木有办法，功夫界这一代中国开始越来越欠缺人才了，虽然中国练武的人是最多的，但想找出个能打出自己名头的人真的很难，他们没有自己的特点。
甄子丹靠斗狠还在苦苦坚持，但是他的名头永远也没办法超越他模仿的对象李小龙，更不可能超越成龙李连杰，人在圈儿里混，不能做太绝，甄子丹的狠劲儿一流，人员儿臭的也是一流，所以……略难。
